The head ache from Sodiom light is not unique
there are two possible causes

The first is the intense monochromatic spectrum outside the normal
daylight. This is one of the reason for the light's use they penetrate
even dense fog. Sodium lights are mostly used where such conditions are
frequent.

Similar adverse reactions have been observed for other forms of intense
coloured light especially in stage environments. Also in rooms lighted
totally by fluorescent light. If a person is somehow sensitive to light
such effects are aggravated.

The other, in my opinion even much more harmful effect, is the noise all
such lights are emitting. The high pitch hum can be perceived by most
people. Any noise effects humans - even at subliminal levels! It depends
again on your own personal condition how "violent" your body system reacts
to such "interference".
Think of the saying -that gives me a head ache - it is only on of our
natural alarms to get out of an situation.

Despite it is technically posibble to eliminate the noise caused by
inductors manufactured to minimum specs as cheap as possible - noise was
never an issue.
But noise is the real cause of most of or modern problems.
99% of noise in our modern environment has a connection to "electricity"
and EMF

Get some noise free "quiet" rest- recovery time
perhaps with soft "elevator" music that calms such effects down quickly
this advice is serious - harmonic sound (soft music) offsets such inflictions.
An age old wisdom - nearly forgotten - only used today for profit.......
