(I did not down load it -- but I DO trust you).....  I hope that some
of our interested readers will contact you for the JPG down-load
(of a suggested 'cell phone and tower' "no-use" symbol -- along
the order of the "no smoking" symbols already existent.....) =20

May I suggest that I think a universal "no" symbol -- to EMF/EMR "blue
world" exposure -- is what we need most.....  I continue to be
troubled by those who want to approach this "blue world" problem
simply on a "NIMBY" (not in my back yard) basis......

It is really much more than that....  (As our currently ongoing
discussion about "schoolroom blue world LAN exposure" proves....)
And I suggest that a universal symbol would be much more effective with a
broader public.....  As well as a broader 'media' public......

Dear Roy:

'Way back in October Peter Depippo e-mailed me, since I'm a film
producer and director, with a question concerning visual representations
of the damage caused by electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic
radiation. I haven't come up with anything concrete yet =97 although Dr.
Henry Lai's images of DNA breakage as shown in the CBC documentary,
"Cone of Silence," are about as forceful as one can get.

However, the idea of the need for visual images stayed in mind. Sorry,
Peter, it took me so long to get to this, just remember, nothing on my
list ever goes away until it's done. I haven't quite come up with what
you requested but your inquiry led me to think about a visual image to
express opposition to wireless technology in its present unregulated
form.

Therefore, Tracey Hughes of our Noe Valley Group and I have been working
on a series of no cellphone and no cell tower international symbols.=20

Tracey, who produced the graphics for our first and second public forums
on the hazards of microwave radiation, has drawn the basic artwork. And
I, on my trusty computer (I'm only a neo-luddite it must be confessed,
bathed in electromagnetic fields and radiation despite my best efforts
at sheilding), have put the elements together to produce the first in
our symbol series.

The first one, attached to this note as a jpg picture, says no to
cellphones. These symbols based on international, nonverbal design
elements would be appropriate for restaurant owners, theater owners,
churches, and wherever people gather even if the opposition is based on
etiquette rather than health. They are a way to express opposition to
the indiscriminate use of cellphones as similar signs are used
restaurants and bars to ban or limit smoking.

Take a look at the graphic, Roy, if you can open it, and see if it seems
appropriate to offer to the group. If you can't open the file, but
otherwise trust us, please post our announcement.=20

Anyone who wants the graphic can send me an e-mail and I'll send a jpg
back. Tracey and I, or at least myself since I don't want to speak for
Tracey, would like to become rich and famous off the design. But
unfortunately, we oppose the untrammeled proliferation of wireless
technology even more, so the design is being placed in the public
domain. Anyone may use it, no fee, not even a credit. Just stop
electromagnetic radiation exposures now!

Over the next two weeks, in conjunction with the April 10th conference
being organized by Libby Kelley and Nancy Evans, Tracey and I will be
issuing three "no cell ANTENNA emblems," each with a slightly different
form of cell tower, two based on photographs and one a more stylized
version.

And even though my entire focus has been first on celltower exposures
and now more generally to electromagnetic radiation, I think we may have
something regarding powerlines next in line for the ole drawing board.

All for now, Roy, it feels good to offer something again to your
incredible forum. I hope there's a completist out there with everything
you've posted.

Now, for that jpg file attachment...and away we go!!
