......."No definitive evidence" ... under that flag -- the flag that
protects corporate profits at the expense of the people -- millions of
people have been 'poisoned' by lead, tobacco, asbestos, DDT, Dioxin,
etc.....

If our government is going to allow industry to continue to 'make profits
at the public's expense' under that flag ... WE MUST INSIST ON CHANGE....
....

Your Congressmen, Presidents, (Vice Presidents) who fail to pursue
(honestly) that change ... should be voted out..... Democrat or
Republican......

Subject: AT&T/Suncom

I just received a letter today from SunCom who is AT&T's Wireless Network
down here in Roanoke, VA in response to a an e-mail i sent to AT&T's
Chairman...I don't know why I bothered but I wanted to quote you a paragraph
from it...unbelievable, eh?

"We are in the wireless communications business, and this requires
telecommunications structures to carry our radio signals. The first thing
that is important to understand is that we are committed to always operating
within the bounds of the law and within all safety guidelines that numerous
state and federal regulatory agencies demand. It would simply make no sense
from either a business or liability standpoint for us to ignore credible
scientific evidence of harm from our structures or the signals transmitted by
them. I must stress that there has been no definitive evidence to date, nor
has any authoritative study concluded that the use of wireless phones or the
operatioon of telecommunications structures contributes in any way to adverse
health effects. On the contrary, a number of studies have been conducted
that show no adverse health effects whatsoever resulting from the use of
wireless phones of wireless transmission."

It goes on and then he has the nerve to send me a reprint of an article
written by their Marketing Manager to the Roanoke Times which is an insult to
anyone's intelligence, but the Rke Times printed his op-ed article fully
while my letters get edited and shipped to the Letters to the Editor to
department. Although my first response was to fire off a reply to SunCom I
have to think it is only a waste of time.
Regards,
Elena
