Subject: Electricians & emf exposure (Marsh).. Date: Fri, 14 Apr 2000 145713 -0500 (CDT) From: "Roy L. Beavers"To: emfguru -------------------------------------------------- Interesting case history below..... ........Because this is an anecdote -- neither "science" nor any (state or federal) government, nor the medical profession ... is likely to "check it out." However, if the victim in this case were to sue the state (for failure to prescribe work rules that would protect against the diseases reported below) ... he might get some attention..... Of course, he can sue his employer also - but - even if he were to win, he may be dead before he can expect to collect the results of a winning judgment...... That sort of situation is what is wrong with (our society) leaving this kind of public health menace up to the courts to resolve -- rather than governmental action through the legislatures and the proper safety or health agencies.... I know that some of you feel that I urge you to turn too quickly to a lawyer in these situations -- but that is the only defense our society provides at the present time...... Take somebody to court!!! Action via our legislative bodies (at federal or state level) may still be 10 to 20 years away ... while they wait for the kind of "conclusive" evidence that the $$$$$$$$-bought legislators will respond to..... (I have been talking to him for several weeks about these towers close to my house). Our discussion was about the Wisconsin cattle, I ask him what he thought about it .He said he could believe it could harm cattle that way. Then he told about some medical problems he was having. To make along story short, his doctor thinks he has a brain tumor of the pituitory gland. He also told me about a year ago he had one breast removed because of tumors. Now the other side has lumps. We work at at a cast iron pipe shop. We have alot of high voltage equipment. He works in an electrical control room with the electrical equipment that runs the machines. Some of the panel boxes he opens will light up his test pen in his pocket. [.......!!!!!.....guru.....] My question is - has any studies been done of people working around industrial electrical equipment like this.
