On pages 111-112 of Ellen Sugarman's book (WARNING: the electricity
around you may be hazardous to your health), you will find:

     "A 1993 case, Criscuola v. Power Authority of the State of New 
York, advanced the claim that public perception of a hazard - in this 
case, EMF - constitutes grounds for property devaluation litigation.
The court found that the property owners were entitled to compensation
due to power line health fears, even without any conclusine scientific
proof."

Subject: Property-devaluation EMFs

Roy, how can I get the legal cite to the New York Court of Appeals case
that lets homeowners sue for decrease in land value due to high
tension/voltage towers and wires?

Any other cases would be of great help, our local utility has just sued
us to "take the land" by eminent domaine and pay for the easment.
