Come on everybody!!!

Get into this with Deb and her valiant LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN gang.....!!!

Politically, we should seek two things......

(1) A congressional **oversight** investigation into what the FCC is
doing??? And how it is exploiting the public to benefit the BIG $$$$$$$
contributors of the telecom industry....

(2) The whole issue should become an issue in the November election at
presidential and senate and congressional levels.....!!! Remember --
no-one had more to do with creating this **constitutional** "mess" than
Al Gore and his telecom lobbyist buddies.... Those "buddies" eventually
"staffed" his presidential campaign staff -- and were initially the
biggest of his early campaign money raisers $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.....

Cheerio......

$$$$$ We could have changed the corrupted system!! $$$$$

Thank you all.
(Actually, there are 2 deadlines. The deadline for comments is May 10 and then
the deadline for replying to someone else's comments is May 25.)

Your local cities and counties need to be warned about what the broadcasters
are up to because if the FCC preempts the Jefferson County decision on Lookout,
any local zoning decision involving a tower is vulnerable to being overturned
by the FCC.

If you asked your Senators and Representatives, I bet they never dreamed when
they voted for the Telecommunications Act , that the Telecommunications Act
should be used by industry and the FCC to gut local zoning decisions. Are they
going to stand by and let the FCC do this or are they going to take a stand
supporting the right of local governments to decide local land use issues?

Last week, the House of Representatives forced the FCC to stop issuing so many
low powered FM licenses because the high powered broadcasters were afraid that
the low powered signals might interfere with the high powered broadcaster's
signal. If the House will stand up to the FCC on behalf of the broadcasters,
what about on behalf of local communities?

Our Colorado delegation is firing up. As one Senator's aide pointed out to
me, the FCC Chairman told Senator Allard and Representative Tancredo last year
before the Jefferson County zoning hearings on the supertower that the FCC
would defer to the county on zoning matters and now rather than defering, they
are putting Lake Cedar Group's petition for preemption out for public comment,
doesn't this represent an administrative agency usurping the power from people
who are elected?

What is happening in the rest of the country?
