Roy,
My wife is extremely electrically and electromagnetically sensitive. I am
not sure about non-sensitive people but I can tell you that my wife cannot
be near a bar code scanner in any of the retail stores etc without reacting.
Obviously something is happening--- it is just not discernable to a healthy
individual. I believe everybody has the propensity for disease. The
difference is time to reach the threshold, some more quickly than others.
Give society time, keep increasing the exposure through proliferation of
blue and chemical smog, and twenty years from now the country will be facing
a social cost much greater than the tobacco spectacle. In the case of blue
and chemical smog there is no place to hide. The general population might
look to the chemically and electrically sensitive as the canaries for the
future.

Roy,

I seriously doubt that laser holograph ic scanners pose a hazard to anyone,
as long as the precautions for use of lasers in stated classes are observed.

Laser radiation is coherent and confined to a very narrow beam. Thus,
unless
the beam scatters off soemthing there is little or no no danger of it going
where it was not intended.
