On the whole I am for (drastically)  reducing the amount of EMR that is
transmitted through the air. However when it comes to computers, as an ES
person I can safely say that using a good quality shield in front of a
computer sreen makes an enormous difference.  I can feel it the minute I add
to the computer.  (In this office, if someone else uses my computer they
always remove the screen because it makes it slightly darker.)  If I use the
computer for a while before remembering to replace the screen, my eyes first
loose focus; I feel the strain.  When I replace the screen I feel better
immediately, and my concentration lasts a lot longer. I also don't get skin
redness witrh a screen.

I would like to know how they work though.
