Hi Roy:

Here is another diabetes coincidence like the one in Finland only this is in
the United States.  The Center for Disease Control says that the increase is
due to obesity, but it is interesting that it seems to parallel increased
cell phone usage - especially among young people:

According to an ABC news broadcast, August 23, 2000,  cases of diabetes
increased 33 percent in the U. S. between 1990 and 1998, but increased by 70
percent among people aged 30 to 39, and 40 percent among those aged 40 to
49.

I wonder what the increase in cell phone use was between 1990 and 1998.
