TELEPHONE  TOWER  PROTEST PICKET LINE A YEAR OLD ON DEC-2-97

In South Australia, the communications transnational VODAFONE has had 
more opposition than anywhere else on the planet (from one of their 
press releases earlier this year).

For example: A local Residents' Action Committee, in Fulham Gardens 
(just a normal suburb) has blocked completion of the main base station 
planned for the whole state by keeping a picket line going.  These are  
ordinary people doing extra-ordinary things.  That is why the company 
has resorted to some VERY dirty tricks...

And that is why the residents have gone international.  All the news is
