.......In this message, Alasdair elaborates on his approach to
"dealing with the EMF problem" ... on the basis of what science has
proved so far.....Be sure you read the "ps" which follows......guru......

Roy I am all in favour of precautionary regulation. I was trying (maybe
not very effectively) to say that I do not see more research as providing
the answer even in the medium term. We could spend billions and still not
have enough evidence to persuade the sceptics. What I was trying to say is
that we already have enough to be sensibly saying "there is reasonable
suspicion that chronic exposure to ac EMFs causes some ill health
problems. Therefore we should enact some precautionary measures." These
would include minimum distances for power-lines and RF masts from houses,
schools, etc., as well as low (say 1 microwatt) exposure limits for these
places. By the way I am just applying for a senior job with
one of the US owned UK electricity companies that you write of! Just how
many pieces of gold is a soul worth?? It is not easy to find that
'rightful path'.

ps
Coghill Reasearch Lab's lymphocyte work should be replicated soon at
a number of universities who have researchers who have said they wish
to repeat the experiments. If the replications work (as I expect them
to do as I was involved in assessing CRL's protocols which were good)
then the results will demand a paradigm shift in electro-biophysical
understanding. TINY, TINY, MINISCULE levels of 'bio-energetic' signals
from a human body would be stimulating and 'nurturing' the separated
lymphocytes and similar levels of AC (50 Hz) and microwaves would be
seen as having a 'killing' or 'destabilising' effect. These levels are
down at the picowatt energy level so ...???? Certainly current
scientific understanding cannot explain such a thing and the work will
receive much "quackery" criticism.
