First of all I congratulate you for this ample information to your readers and the people in the czech republic!!! Articles in such a dimension are very difficult for papers in the "rest of Europe" due to the pressure of the mobile-phone-compagnies in form of publicity! So: congratulations!!!!! I would like to inform you that there is a world-wide concern not only in the possible health-effects of the mobile-phones themselves but also in the possible health-effects of the mobile-phone-antennas (masts) needed and erected everywhere without information of neighborhood and without information about the controversial health-discussion. But in difference to the phones, you cannot stop the emission of a mast when you live there 24 h/ 24 h! This concern raised up with the publication of the letter of Dr. George Carlo, Chairman of Wireless Technology Research (WTR) dated 7.10.1999 which you will find as attachment as well as the translation of the petition that we brought to the austrian parliament on July 16, 1999. Attention: this is the version of 16.7.99, due to the elections of 3.10.99 in austria, we had to present the mobile-phone-petition once more on 30.11.1999 and the text was completed and updated - the translation in english is not finished, find the text in german as attachment. The whole text is also under: http://mobilfunk-petition.homepage.com In a few days our homepage will be available: http://plattform-gsm.homepage.com You will read in the petition that in the city of Salzburg, Austria, the officials voted for a limit-level of 1 mW/m2 for the sum of GSM-immission (in comparison: the austrian official limit-levels are 6 W/m2 or 10W/m2 - depending on the frequencies) - this precautionary-limit-level comes from the Salzburger Landessanit=E4tsdirektion due to the analyse of the REM-sleep-study of Prof. R=F6schke. We also send you as attachment the Vienna EMF-declaration of Oct. 1998: "The participants agree that biological effects from low-intensity exposures are scientifically established." (concerning RF electromagnetic fields). The proceedings are available in internet. We would be very happy if you could transmit these informations also to your readers because they have a right to know! On the other side, I will be very happy if you could send me the e-mail-adresses from the scientists named in your article. thank you in advance. Looking forward to a cooperation - sincerely yours, eva marsalek -- Plattform GSM-Initiativen p.A.
