Dear Roy and everyone on the list:

I would like the group's help with countervailing arguments to the
federal pre-emption against consideration of health and environmental
effects in the siting of cellular antennas.

Mayor Willie Brown has agreed to convene a meeting on January 5th to
discuss health and siting issues in the city of San Francisco. The San
Francisco Neigborhood Antenna-Free Union has been invited to make
presentations on these issues. 

We now meet every Wednesday evening to prepare for the session. We have
given ourselves the task of having each person come up with the five
strongest arguments they can muster.

Before I give my final answer, I'd like to consult with my constituency.

I've already gathered some favorable court cases from this forum.
However, I welcome any and all comments, arguments, anecdotes,
additional court cases, and theories.

ps: in this fall's elections, Mayor Brown's supervisorial candidates
uniformly lost. Suddenly we may have the votes we need on the Board of
Supervisors to protect our neighborhoods. Who would have imagined four
years ago when I first got involved that such a thing was possible!

Also, for the record, in past communications I've incorrectly identified
the head of Hammet (one t) and Edison. His name is William Hammet.
