Hi everybody:

I have not been forwarding all of the MAI info I have been receiving
because I am mindful of the heavy volume of message traffic we have
had recently, mostly because of EMF. But I do appreciate the info
I have received from a number of you...... AND, I do recognize (as
do most of the readers of this list, I presume) that the MAI --
international economic agreements designed to circumvent local government
authority -- ARE RELEVANT to the EMF issue ... to the degree that they
attempt to "get around" local restrictions regarding the placement of
TV and cell-phone towers, etc. They also "get around" a number of other
local policies that affect the environment, labor rules, etc.

In total concept ... the MAI is a truly frightening and ominous "shadow"
that is being cast over the kind of a world we can expect in the future.
A world that would, in fact, be ***controlled*** by the huge
profit-driven, de-humanizing international corporations that are pushing
the MAI concept. They have no loyalty to any nation or community.
Certainly no concern for "mankind," except to the extent that mankind is
the organic material upon which they feed......

I say again -- I cannot ***imagine*** that the U.S. Congress or Senate
would allow the U.S. to forfeit as much of its sovereignty as this treaty
proposes.... More than that -- has anyone looked carefully at the
Constitutional aspect??? If the U.S. government should, in fact, be so
foolish as to adopt this treaty and assume to impose the obligations
therein upon its citizens ... I would expect the courts to be deluged with
challenges????

Nevertheless, I endorse the suggestion contained below for any of you who
may be in position to attend the Congressional Hearing......

Cheerio....
