I think that you are wrong when you say that my interest is only personal.
I think that you understand me in my last E-mail, I only wanted to give
the tahnks to the people who help me in this group for my work of
degradee. You do not know what I did for getting information. Here in
Colombia is very difficult to develop an investigation, the theme about
the effects to exposure to EMR is new here, many people do not believe in
these effects, the people here support works of degradee when these works
search comercial solutions in telecommunications. I am not a physician and
for this investigation I needed a epidemiological physician, no body
wanted to help me in this work, one physician wanted to help me, he is
very moody and the most part of the time he does not have time. I am in
the college, the money that I get, it is the money that send me my mother
and my brother and the money that I win for working in a travel office.
all the money that this work needed it was mine and the partner, maybe
crazy like me that decided to stay in this study. When We decided to make
to study about the people who works in the transmitters of Radiostations,
airports, police, army, air force in three cities. In Colombia there are
two economical groups who drive the enterprises linked with cellular,
radiostations, food... many enterprises, in the radiostations they are
Caracol and RCN. RCN said me that I have to wait for a authorization which
never arrive. I remember one captain of the police that said me, that the
police does not have a communication system and he said me that I have to
go to the hospital because there, they used X-Ray. It does not matter I am
here with my survey. but there are many people who like my work and they
wanted to know about my work, I know that many people in Telecom Colombia
have information in this same field, but this information I can not get
because it was in the Union of this enterprise, it was lost. Many people
do not belive in my survey, they smile and I imagine That they said this
man is out of control. I do not wait a prize, I only want that the people
lear about the effects, I hope that my work someday arrives to the
communications ministery of this country, for the safety of the people,
because for me is very sad when I saw families living around the FM
towers, families with many children because this is the normal in Colombia
where the people do not have the education that they need, and they work
there for necesity, they do not know the danger.
I am making this work, this is not a personal interest, it is the interest
of my people, the poor people who work in this towers without safety, I
want that the people learn about the effects to exposure to EMR, I want
that in this country there will be ruls for this exposure.
I hope that you understand me, because I said thanks is for the many
information that I have received, and I want to stop, your information is
free and it does not affect my pocket. I know that maybe in the next month
I have to finish my work, and I have to search work for survive, maybe
with a cellular enterprise, but I maked the possible for saying to the
people that they must take care of themselves.
Dr beavers, I give you the thanks because you are the person who
subscribe me to the list, and for you I have learned everyday more about
the effects to exposure to EMR.
