Just a cautionary note....

I've been around this noble bunch for only a short time, comparatively, but I
have been impressed with the overall calibre of the discussion.

This material on aspartame is part scientific flaw and part fabrication. The
report is filed under a pseudonym and purports to represent a meeting of a
conferance that apparently didn't ever exist. The author grossly
misrepresents the available facts, including the prevalence figures with
respect to multiple sclerosis, which actually is not increasing even though
the author states that it is increasing dramatically.

I think that this material does not meet the accustomed level of scientific
rigor among us. For a fairly complete and dispassionate discussion of the
issues, I recommend: http://urbanlegends.tqn.com/library/blasp.htm
