DO YOU KNOW OF OTHERS WHO SHOULD BE ON THIS LIST??? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 03 Feb 2000 10:21:15 -0800 From: Bob Weiner To: "Roy L. Beavers" Subject: computer cpu emissions Roy, I have a question for members on your list regarding the strength and distance of RF emissions from the motherboard and CPUs of computers. Processing speed is now approaching cell phone frequencies (733 mhz) and soon headed into the gigahertz range. There are many more computers than cell phones, and computers tend to be left running most of the time. It would seem that in office exposures to RF from computers (and monitors) themselves could be quite high, not to mention exposure from wireless LANs and bluetooth technologies.
