Roy,
I would suggest that this list can well do without salacious rumours about
the supposed sexual morality of Bill Clinton's mother at the time of his
birth, and unconfirmed stories that he fathered a child by some black
prostitute.
I think most Australians view the purulent fascination right-wing Americans
appear to have with sexual politics with some amazement and amusement. It
confirms our view of Americans as the world's greatest hypocrits, especially
as the country is the world's No.1 purveyor of pornography.
America was first settled by Protestant Puritans while Australia's first
colonists were convicted convicts and Irish traitors. The American current
obsession with the sex life of the President and his ancestors shows that we
got the best bargain.
If you ever find a story that Clinton's sexual stimulation involved
something to do with EMF radiation and R/F dildos, I'd be pleased to read it
... but until then, can you spare us the sexual spam.

get into an argument whether or not convicts or Puritans make for
the better cultural heritage.....Yes, America probably does produce
more pornography than any other nation.....We are one of the few nations
that does not even try to curtail the freedom of "expression" which
control of pornography would entail.....It is a "First Amendment" issue.
As a political scientist, it has always been a matter of more than passing
interest to me that the nations which have historically exerted the most
control over such "freedom of expression" are the dictatorships. And you
can scale it down from there with the more "censorship" being exerted by
those nations which are the least tolerant of "pornography" also being
the least tolerant of public criticism, the least "democratic."
However, your response troubles me in that you seem to have failed to
understand the most fundamental "dictum" of EMF-L -- as it is understood
by its moderator (who has spelled it out many times on the net ... and it
still appears many times on the web-pages.)
The EMF/health problem is NOT purely a matter of science..... If it
were, the whole world would already know all about it -- and hundreds
of millions of dollars would be currently invested in its research!!!
No, the true barrier to public knowledge and MUCH expanded research about
the health hazards of EMF ... is political!!!.......

Australia -- that is as true there as it is in the U.S.!!! (Or Sweden,
New Zealand, you name it....)
......MANY TIMES I have tried to explain that the corruption of the
American political process (which literally CONTROLS EMF research in
the U.S.) ... is part and parcel of the cover-up that obfuscates,
dissembles, "misleads" (that means "lie" to everyone but Bill Clinton) and
deliberately sabotages all efforts toward an independent (free of the
influence of vested interests) EMF research effort......
We have a corrupt political system because MONEY (not the PUBLIC interest)
determines the priorities, writes the legislation, and controls the
appointment of public officials (including the RICH health bureaucracies).
We have a corrupt political system because too many of the
elected/appointed officials, themselves, are not "of an honest and
upstanding character." That has nothing to do with their sex-life, but it
has ***everything*** to do with their conduct of the duties of their
office -- which our President (of less than "upstanding character") has
defiled many more times than the few incidents which led to his
impeachment......Were you here (on EMF-L), Stewart, when it was reported
on this net about his "selling" of his home and office for political
favors? Among those matters likely affected by his solicitation of "soft
money" via the White House bedrooms was/is the EMF matter......
If America can't start to "straighten out this 'corruption' mess" by
starting at the top -- our President ... a "perjurer" ... caught in the
act and on tape and shown on TV to the entire nation -- where can we start
... for heaven's sake?????
BTW, The person who sent us the report about Bill Clinton's character
... which you seem to have taken offense about ... is from Bill Clinton's
home state of Arkansas......They know him there.......
