I think these are the Bastide studies from the University of Bastide in France
which I believe were published last summer/autumn in Electromagnetics and
followed on from her previous studies at ELF's. These latest showed that
cellphones could increase chick embryo mortality rates(6000 exposed with 5
times more likely to die). It was reported in the UK's Sunday Telegraph and
quoted Prof Thomas Rosenquidst of the University of Nebraska as saying the
effects could happen so early in pregnancy that a woman may not even know she
was pregnant. Dr. Cyril Smith of Salford University(UK)supported her findings
but the NRPB disagreed stating that 99.9% of all scientific work shows no
effect other than the thermal effect. Strange statemant to make bearing in
mind that their position is that the power safety levels from mobiles are set
so that thermal effects are avoided. Also quite rich coming from an
organisation who when questioned in court during the Coghill trial admitted
that it had only carried out one biological study and that this had in fact
been contracted out to a third party.
