There are no standards of "safe" exposure established by any competent
authority. The state of research does not yet give us a good insight on
that.

But, many within the EMF research community seem to regard a surprisingly
low level -- 2 or 3 milligauss -- as a level at which bioeffects can
occur. Laboratory research has established effects (on cells) as low as 5
to 12 milligauss.

That, of course, does not answer the all important question: for how long
must the exposure occur before these effects are sufficiently likely to
be of concern?

That is not known..... Research is badly needed in that regard. But such
answers are also the answers which industry/government appear to be afraid
to go after.... Since they control the research, the public is being ill
treated in this regard. We are having to arrive at some sort of consensus
"on our own." (I am sending this reply to my enire EMF-L list. Some of
them who are more qualified than I, may offer additional input.)

If you are obtaining readings as high as 4-5 milligauss, I feel that you
should endeavor to do something about it. I would....

Cheerio.....
