Good point. Recently we saw the same kind of "unprincipled liberal" coming up in Europe: Blair in UK and Schroeder in Germany. They came to power with left votes as they belong to a "social-democrat" party, but actually they serve the big biz and value profits over principles. ("No principles" ? Ha! The principle is: "maximize profits"...). Quite a touch of neo-liberalism...
