Clas Tegenfeldt informed you and your list about Dr. Holt Australia. He did
some research in electromagnetic radiation also dealing with cancer,
asthma, and others. Clas passed me Dr. Holt's address and as a response I
received 10 pages from Dr. Holt, which are quite interesting to read.

MICROWAVES AND ASTHMA?
I have been thinking a lot of what Dr. Holt said about microwaves and
asthma.
The mast cells which underlie all surfaces of the body produce histamin in
response to the allergen. In the presence of cellular phone frequencis at
low intensity the output of histamin is doubled. Furthermore under the
continued influence of 800 to 900 MHz the conventional anti-histamines and
steroids do not work. They are unable to turn off the histamine production
switched on in the mast cells by the electric smog" (From Fax from Dr. John
Holt september 2, 1996)
Dr. Holt is active at the Microwave Therapy Centre in West Perth,
Australia.
He knows his microwaves. He uses them to kill cancer cells. So he knows how
they affect human beings.
I include two items to illustrate the point that asthma might be linked to
electromagnetic fields/microwaves:
A. Robert Roedlinger reported from an area in New Zeeland called OURUHIA:
"Source of concern
The source of concern is towers erected in 1980 and 1988. The 1980 137.2m
(450 ft) tower emits AM radio waves, and since 1990, 12000 watts of FM have
also been transmitting from the tower. (A cell phone tower has a base power
of only 200 watts). A 1988 FM test tower was erected near by, transmitting
FM signals probably until September 1996 when it was removed.
131 houses in the area were surveyed for health problems since 1980. The
responses showed an upsurge in ill health in 1990 and an even bigger one in
1995 when transmission for a second FM station was added. There were 44
reports of heart problems; 41 reports of M.E/CFS type symptoms, including
some severe enough to be mistaken for AIDS; 15 reports of severe bone pains
and arthritis; 15 of cancer; 11 of asthma, and three babies born with birth
defects. People with metal implants, including amalgams, felt burning
sensations in the surrounding tissues.
Almost all the children are now on asthma medication" NOTE THIS!.

DEMENTED POLICEMEN?

The paper reports about a police building in Arvidsjaur, northern Sweden,
that is considered to a "sick building". Despite attempts at rebuilding it,
people still feel bad. The article does not say how the building was
improved, but one might suspect that it was equipped with high-tech gadgets
including high frequency fluorescent lights and energy-saving bulbs which
generally severly bother electrically sensitive individuals.
The symptoms experienced by the policemen are quite similar to those
experienced by electrically sensitive individuals such as: eye respiratory
and skin irritation and also lack of concentration and mental exhuastion.
The company doctor was clearly worried, the paper wrote. If these symptoms
of confusion and poor ability to concentrate, continue, the policemen will
have to be ragerded as permanently demented. The doctor cited a case where
a
policeman comes home and puts his cellular phone away and later he cannot
find it until it rings -- in the fridge! Another policeman will reply that
the time is "ten crowns" instead of "ten o clock"
If cellular phones can cause mental confusion and strange behaviour,one
must
seriously question the usage of cellular phones by people in responsible
positions in society!
The fact that some of the policeman in Arvidsjaur have to use asthma spray
in their police cars(NOTE THIS) (with a lot of electronic gadgets and
cellular phones),but not in their private cars, indicates that
electromagnetic fields and in particular high frequencies can be involved .
The fact is, that many electrically sensitive individuals have breathing
problems when in contact with e/m fields. Both skin and mucus membranes are
affected(and in many cases, there are neurological symptoms also). Some
researchers have suspected a correlation between asthma and higher e/m
frequencies. It is interesting to note that asthma cases are not highest
in
countries such as Poland where pollution is fairly high, but in those
countries, most heavily electrified and electronically "sophisticated".
The continued denial od electrical sensitivity by the medical establishment
hinders a sane look at the situation, and is a disservice to the patients
doctors supposedly are there to help.
Comment:
Considering that more and more children might have to use cortisone sprays
because they and their parents use mobile phones (if the microwaves are the
culprit) is pathetic indeed.
Pathetic for another reason. Doctors reported this week in Sweden that
cortison spray against asthma causes young children to be aggressive and
feel mentally disturbed.
