I agree entirely with your sentiments. However, there are people on this list who work just as hard as Libby, and probably for many years longer who you have not included! There are those whose health suffers, like Per S in Sweden and Leif Sodergren who was the founding member of FEB - the organisation that has put hundreds of ES people in touch with each other, as well as having been a major activist in this area. Then there is Lucinda Grant and her journal, who is a veteran of the cause and the ES problem; Kathy Hawke, ditto; Cathy Bergman who ran Libby' organisation before she did; Arthur Firstenberg who suffers deeply as a result of ES and yet against all odds manages to put out the journal 'No Place to Hide'; Alasdair Philips in the UK and his Powerwatch work; Don Maisch in Tasmania who rescued me 5 years ago (thanks Don) who works on this issue at great sacrifice; my friend and colleague Lyn McLean here in Australia who puts out a journal on behalf of EMRAA and devotes her life to this issue, as do I myself. I have worked full time without pay on this issue for nearly five years with Senator Allison, constant speeches in the Senate, and now the inquiry. I send out an endless stream of documents and information to individuals and groups all over the world. Scientists such as Drs Neil Cherry (NZ) , Roger Coghill (UK), Peter French & Bruce Hocking (Aus), Henry Lai (US) and dozens of others must be included. There are hundreds of people here and all over the world who have devoted decades of their lives to working as activists, scientists, engineers in this area. All are heroes. This list could go on forever! Let us, at the turn of the millennium, be all-inclusive, all-compassionate and wise! Peace and joy to you and yours for the times ahead.
