.......When you read the statements (and perceive the arrogance) of
the health officials below, you may (as I did) think back upon the
same arrogance and utter disregard for anything that might be called
"the public good" ... that I wrote about in my previous message --
$$$$$$$ in U.S. politics..... Then, I was writing about a U.S.
Senator. Below, you will read about some city health officials....
In both cases, one cannot escape the conclusion that our public
officials today ... no longer have any sense of responsibility about
their duty to serve "the public good." Today, the code is to serve
"the party" ... or "the bureaucracy" ... or "the political patrons".....
Even more condemning about the statements below, however, is the sense
that, here, you have "scientifically qualified" men in "scientific"
positions of responsibility ... who utter statements that are utterly
UNSCIENTIFIC......

The City of Vancouver B.C.is planning to give the cellphone providers
special rights within a 25 year agreement to place antenna's where they
see fit without notifying the public. The two Chief Health Officers for
the Cities of Vancouver and Richmond both agree that there is no reason
to notify the public since there is no known health effects from
cellphone antenna emissions.
According to the Chief Health Officer for the City of Richmond, which
boarders Vancouver, there is no proof to date that cellphone radiation,
within densities allowed by Canada Code Six regulations, could causes
adverse health effects. He said words to the effect that a few studies
have shown minor health effects but they have not been substantiated.
When a cellphone provider wanted to place antenn's on an apartment
building in Vancouver and the tennants protested & brought their concerns
to the City of Vancouver Board of Variance, they were told that Health
Canada Code Six is one of the most stringent in the world and that a
study done by The Royal Society of Canada (BLUE RIBBON )Expert Panel
agrees.
Since the owners of apartment A protested having antenn's on top of their
building, the Cellphone provider has apperantly made arangements with
another apartment building across the street (where there are mostly
rentals) to place their antenna's over there.
When questioned by the radio host on CBC Early Edition, The Chief Health
officer For Richmond stated that "the public needs to be informed and
educated" in regards to the health safety of EMFemissions from cellphone
towers etc ?????.
When asked if he would object to having a tower close to his home, he
said he would only object for reasons to do with the looks and structural
safety. He would not be worried about any actual health effects.
The Chief Health Officer for the City of Vancouver stated in the
Vancouver Sun News Paper that radiation from towers does not penatrate
anything and that there are no proven health effects from emissions from
towers or antenna's.
