Hi everybody:
I have to answer Jeff's message below by saying that I don't have any
knowledge of a possible connection between MS and EMF exposure..... That
doesn't mean that there is not such a connection..... Perhaps some of you
can provide Jeff more info on that possibility....
I believe that (1) we have NO IDEA, at this time, of ALL the possible
health consequences of the EMF "Blue World" that is bathing our
environment, and (2) we DO know -- now -- that EMF "can be" biologically
active at levels of exposure we are receiving in our environment....
and that (3) AT LEAST SOME of that biological activity is (officially)
"possibly" harmful....
I consider that the "possible" judgment was politically dictated by
the situation under which the vote was taken. (It was not a secret
ballot. Everyone -- including the government and industry "research fund
controllers" -- could see how everyone voted....)
The scientists at the last RAPID meeting who voted that 19-9 decision
were very much aware -- consciously and subconsciously -- of the
economic and political implications of their decision. IT IS TO THEIR
CREDIT, that despite the government and industry 'presence' in that
room, they voted as they did...... All of the "industry" 'scientific'
representatives present (EPRI, etc.) voted against the majority! That
will give you some idea of how strong the consensus now is among the
non-industry scientific community. (I will be saying more about this ...
after the report has been published.....)
Clearly, with the weight of the evidence available, the more honest
_scientific_ judgment would have been "probable." But the point is, the
judgment they gave was a courageous step forward!!!!
Guru says: Given the exponential rate of 'increased exposure' we are
receiving from the rapidly growing levels of EMF in our environment, _any
government_ that continues to ignore this situation is being criminally
negligent......
I say "any government" with deliberateness -- because, it is not just
the federal government that should be taking prudent defensive measures
in the present situation. State and City governments have a great
deal of power, regulatory and statutory, that could be brought to bear on
those who would exploit the publics unawareness of the EMF facts....
In particular, I encourage municipal governments to look into their
powers by virtue of their control of "franchising authority" over the
utilities that serve their community!!!!!

there's indication of a link between MS and EMF, powerlines especially.
Know of anything I can point her to on that...?
