Alarms systems function with microwave RF, and thus emit microwaves just as infrared "motion sensors" emit infrared RF. The situation is traumatic if the sensor control system is in the ceiling in the bedroom, as was the case in my former home. If one is not electrosensitive when they install the system, they will be. The illuminated diodes in the control panels on the walls also emit RF. I used to block those in my bedroom, but even that did not help. More some other time.
