WIRELESS BYLAW PUT TO THE TEST IN THE BIRTHPLACE OF DEMOCRACY



The Concord, Massachusetts, Zoning Board of Appeals to decide upon
granting variances from the local telecommunications bylaw, for approval
of AT&T Wireless facilities at two locations in Concord, Massachusetts.

The hearing will be held on Monday, August 2, l999, at 6:30 P.M.
The location of the hearing in 144 Keyes Road, Concord, Massachusetts

Concord Citizens and Walden Woods Project protest the placement of
wireless facilities in Concord.  Concord Citizens are insisting that the
Concord Board of Appeals uphold their local zoning bylaws setback
requirements in the face of threats from AT&T Wireless.  Citizens across
Massachusetts and around the U.S. look to Concord, Massachusetts, as a
beacon in the storm of adversity brought about by the placement of
wireless towers and antennas near homes and schools across the nation.
