Forwarded below to the readers of EMF-L ... is guru's recent reply to a
press question.....

I will send you two items from my website which provide good background on
this. I am in agreement with the Salzburg Resolution (one of the papers I
am sending)...... I was there when it was debated and drafted -- with the
assistance of some 30-40 scientists...... People like Neil Cherry. His
work is quoted frequently on my website. But, probably the best authority
was John Goldsmith.
I am sending you something about him, too....... Unfortunately, he is now
deceased.

The thing that you must understand about the antennas issue ... is that no
studies have been done
about the effect of cell phone antennas, per se. It is too soon. They
haven't been in place that long. But studies have been done on other
antennas which transmit in the same RF and MW frequencies (as do the cell
phone antennas)......

So, the industry says, "no proof of any problem." They ignore the studies
that show problems with
TV and radio antennas (military radars, etc.) which DO raise serious doubt
about the health effects of
RF and MW (microwave) radiation. The John Goldsmith paper will acquaint
you with what has been done in that regard.

The really big picture ... is that now we KNOW that these transmissions
are biologically
active. And some epidemiological studies suggest that the end result is
cancer, leukemia and other
serious illnesses...... **These electromagnetic"transmissions" are now
coming at us from many
sources -- satellites, radars, radio and TV antennas, as well as various
EMF sources in the home
and at work..... ** If you quote me for anything, quote me for that ...
and the following:

"All of these many electromagnetic sources in our surroundings (at home
and at work) have created an atmosphere of electromagnetic (Blue World)
radiation which the scientists now are coming to believe can have a
cumulative adverse health effect. That effect can be serious -- cancer or
leukemia, etc..... Or, it can be less serious -- perhaps causing the
'electrosensitive' symptoms that many medical doctors are beginning to find
in patients in their waiting rooms. Many believe that
the EMF effect is also impacting the immune system."

(You should read the LaCrosse Tribune series that is on my website, in that
regard.)

"Therefore, it is not necessarily that one antenna or that one power line
or that one microwave oven in your kitchen ... that is doing the harm. It
is the cumulative exposure which mankind is now experiencing -- that he
never experienced before in the entire history of his evolution!!! That
cumulative exposure is what the story has to be about......."

"And think also about this -- because the folks at Lookout Mountain or at
Sutro Tower (San Francisco)
have experienced it. --- Sometimes the companies aren't satisfied to put
one antenna on that mast in
your neighborhood. Sometimes they put dozens!!!!!! So, the nighborhood
that finds itself "invaded' for one tower "today"-- may find that (within
a few years) their exposure has been increased many fold by the addition of
more and more antennas......!!!!

I hope I have given you some thing to think about......

Cheerio..... (I will be sending two more items.)

Hi Roy,

I noticed in an earlier email the letter from the Brooklyn gentleman concerned
about wireless antennas sited near his apartment. He was frustrated that he's
received no answers as to the health effects of such antennas.

I'd like to write an article on the growing concerns of the public about cell
phone antennas. What is your opinion about the safety levels of today's FCC
standard on emissions? How dangerous are these antennas when sited in
residential, urban neighborhoods? Have you seen any studies that have looked at
health effects of such antennas?
