.......I believe that Bert's reference to the "BEMS" meeting below
is actually referring to the final EMF RAPID meeting in Minneapolis
which Louis Slesin reported-on......guru.....

Subject: EMR -- Response to a few e-mails

Roy: Good to see you back in the swing. You've been missed. Briefly want to
respond all at once to the above.

Roger: Congratulations to you and your wife on your marriage! I have a
sneaky suspicion that your children will be born with the Colliers
encyclopedia of Science under their arm. Best wishes to both of you.

Alasdair: What you say about the invisible light rays of an antenna fanning
out is true. The point mad eto Christopher Beavers is that microwave towers
should not be in the vicinity of schools, which here in the USA normally
spread over a few acres. Thanks for taking the reading of the electronic
opener in cars. It is not the consumers responsibility to know about
microwave emissions. Rather it is the job of federal officials to warn. As
you know public officials also work with industry. We've been having many
electrical storms lately. Notice that when lightning strikes the alarms in
automobiles start howling. Perhaps that microwave electronic opener is also
affected, and opens the doors of automobiles during a a lightning storm?
Bet manufacturers will never tell.

Dr. Slesin: Read the account of the BEMS meeting from your e-mail and
several sources. The Washington Post and other media also discussed the
"study that found EMFs to be a possible carcinogen." Prior to the meeting,
the Department of Energy had predicted the outcome as you mentioned. It had
to come out this way because the NCI and DOE are vying for the same
research funds that will be awarded in a couple of months. Recall that EPA
said the same thing and, presto, the RAPID program was created. What was
decided at BEMS is actually correct. But they are saying it, and the media
broadcast it, to sway Congress to fund more "inconclusive studies."

Roy: I'm ever so grateful for the problem with the dairy cattle that has
been forwarded to me by several people. The Germans performed a great
study. The herd of a dairy farmer in Ohio experienced the same trauma in
the vicinity of a microwave tower. When the cattle were moved to another
farm, without towers, the cows recovered to some degree. The interesting
thing is that the German study found DRY HAY in the stomach of cows. This
shows that the digestive system has been affected. Everyone, including
astronauts, suffer stomach disorders in the presence of radiation. For that
reason, NASA irradiated children with aplastic anemia to determine how long
they could tolerate radiation exposure before they vomited. In 1996, Leif
Sodergren from Sweden sent me an study on "mad cow disease." The cows
suffered the disorders the German scientists noted. But besides microwave
towers, dairy cows are exposed to radiation from an "electronic tag"
farmers clip to the animal's ear or hang around the cow's neck. To monitor
the cattle's activity in the field and barn, microwave beams are directed
at the tag. The beam collects data on the cow's identity, how often it
stopped to eat or drink, etc. A microwave beam searching for data from a
tag around the cows neck and ears will certainlyaffect the animal. Farmers
in Pennsylvania continue filing complaints with the Dairy Association that
cattle shiver and run from microwave towers. One state representative said
at a hearing, "The cows will not go near those things. When they go near
those towers, milk production drops. One such incident appears in my book
(chapter 4).

In addition to the above, dairy cows are milked in barns that are loaded
with electric wires and electronic devices. Nowadays, most cows are
strapped to electric or electronic milking machines. Who is analyzing this.
The cow in the German study that did not recover is a similar to what
happens in the workplace. People with the greatest exposure, and longer
periods at VDTs and using other electronic devices do not recover. So,
money hungry industry and government is irradiating the masses without
looking or caring about the consequences.

I don't have the e-mail of Ginny from McCaysville, Georgia; remember the
citizens opposing the shortwave radio station in McCaysville, Georgia? I
obained material from them from FCC, and helped somewhat with their
problem; a neighbor has rhombic antennas, each broacasts at 50kW. Neighbors
have interference with electronic equipment and many are ill. The point in
mentioning this case is just to praise tho folks in McCaysville. Clyde
Windham wrote me once before saying, "I'm 67 years old, but there's no moss
under my feet. I'll give them a good run" or words to that effect. Today I
received another letter from Clyde. It is so feisty. He Ginney and Rebecca
Says are making FCC, hospital administrators whose equipment is affected by
electromagnetic interference from the rhombics and others involved.
Heretofore, they could not find one public official to listen. Now the
Bounty Board of Commissioners are paying attention. Isn't it fantastic what
3 people have done? FCC in Atlanta is not resting anymore. It's just
wonderful to share.

Best regrds,

Bert
