Beavers" Subject: Microwave cars & electrosmog Roy: Do EMF-L members realise that increasing numbers of cars are permanently broadcasting a low microwave frequency of typically around 435 MHz from a dashboard transmitter. It is used to activate the key-fob door and ignition lock transponders. For some makes, at least, it is active and transmitting all the time the car has a battery connected (even when parked overnight), and all the time you are sitting in it! A weak signal it may be but you can pick it up a few hundred metres away with a broadcast 'scanner' receiver! The soup we live in thickens, yet again. Glug.
