The phones with shield are practically the proof that there is an
influence that even the industry now "recognizes".
We will not get an admission from them that it is because of
hazardous interaction with the human body - rather the reason
that "market - pressure requires that "unnecessary" item and
the have to comply with market demands to stay in competition. .
Since there is now technical proof that 60 percent of the radiated
energy is dumped into the users head - they had to react.
However from my research I found any shield in the near field has
only a limited effect and with a shield size limited to the phone's
dimension it seems ridiculous to have a proper effect.
Directional antennas would do more here projecting the radiated
energy to one side.With a field meter already on every phone
turning into a certain direction would be not too much to ask
Here we also have to ask the question has anybody experienced hand
problems with cellphone use ?? The hand is also fully exposed even
more than the head to the field - holding the transmitter !!!!

At least if the industry now builds "better" phones - do they have
to recall the old ones - like the auto industry ???????????

With all the experience of the limited shielding possibility it
looks to me that rather the "consumer demand option " is the real
reason for the industry to pursue shielding and it is only
now proclaimed to re-gain the "safe product" status in public
opinion. If shields now are proven to be effective all old phones
should be recalled!!!! (Or it would prove the new shields are window
dressing only.)
Prudent avoidance - minimalized use - and distance to the transmitter
are still the best precaution until we have found the exact way and
means for the interaction of RF/EMF with the human body. [I agree!!!!..
.......My recommendation, for those who consider that they MUST have a
phone ... is: install it in your auto, with the transmitter and antenna
at the rear of the automobile.....That is the advice I have given to my
two (yuppie) children......guru]
