Hi everybody:

Roger invited my attention to the following. I am forwarding portions
of his announcement for your info..... Looks quite good to me!!!!
I like the emphasis (I see in the program) on the "ecosystem" as well as
on the physiology of man....

"Have some Madeira, my dear......" In the U.K. (as well as in this
British/American family) the significance of that quote will be
understood....

Cheerio.....

Announcing the First World Congress on Effects of Electricity and
   Magnetism in the Natural World

Casa de Luz, Museu de Electricidade, Funchal, Madeira 1-6 October 1998

Most bioelectromagnetics conferences focus on human health or
mechanisms of interaction. Though such topics are clearly important,
the insidious effects of our newly developed electromagnetic
technologies are equally capable of affecting biota in all kingdoms of
the natural world with consequently subtle effects on the planetary
   ecosystem.

This Congress aims to address this issue, and has drawn from the
worlds most reputable researchers in the field the ability to
cover the topics at the highest levels. Who should attend Professional
biologists and biochemists interested in bioelectromagnetics,
zoologists, environmental managers, utilities, insurance executives,
academics specialising in life sciences, and students.
