We really have a problem here. Ginny: This is spooky, scary (shiver as I read). I truly did not wish to get involved with any more cases. I perform studies, write talk papers, perform analyses, do packages etc. etc. for many, many people worldwide. I've tried so often to escape this EMR madness, but my professors and so many others say, "Bert, you have been blessed with the talent. It is your duty and responsibility to take this to its conclusiom!" Would you believe anyone can pose this persuasive deterrent that prevents me from escaping this EMR mess. I cannot turn away from your case. Otherwise, I'll never rest with guilt for having neglected you and those traumatized as you described. So here we go. The "E" Rhombic refers to the "electric" field of the antenna (2 = 2 volts per meter or 2 V/m); "H" Rhombic is the magnetic field (1 = 1 gauss per meter or 1 G/m). These are the readings I saw. I believe Fox had 5 G/m. But at this point, rather than rely on guess or memory, it is best for me to get back to FCC and copy the page with the readings. Yes, Charlie Breig also told me Polsin would take over this case. As of last week that was still in the works. I'm a pretty good judge of character, and feel Charlie is sincere; most willing to provide information which is unusual for FCC. You referred to FBI and GBI. Please tell me what GBI is. Now since you say that the area is getting WGTG this could explain the interference. That is, Frantz rigged the antenna so that radiowaves are reflected back into the area from whence the transmission originated. Since McCaysville (is that where you are?) is not the place where WGTG is officially doing business this is a minus for Frantz. Your question: What would I do if I had such high readings? Move, and/or what you are doing, and what I will proceed to do Anytime FCC receive "interference" complaints, it pulls a carriers file while FCC agents examine the complaint. Although this sounds devious, it isn't. In fact, it's good. During this period the more people who write to FCC, the better so the file remains open. So keep the mail going to FCC (mail or hardcopy is better than phone conversation so you have documentation on file). FCC cannot rest until that file is closed (back on shelf). That's the law (in FCC CFR 47). Your big question is a good remote probability that the WGTG license can and will be revoked. Let me tell you about a case in New Jersey where citizens asked me to testify for them against the owner of a religious not-for-profit radio station (Lighthouse). Owners thought because theirs was a station specifically directed at the blind that they could do anything they wished. They did. I went to FCC and examined their file. Owners applied and received a license to built a 150-foot broadcast tower at a specific latitude/longitude. . They were near and airport, so they required FAA clearance. FAA turned them down in the first application. But a friend of a fried who just happened to be a former FAA employee was able to get a positive FAA determination. Instead of building a 150-foot tower and the specified lat/lon, the owners built a 350-foot tower over 100 feet from the approved site. FCC approves whatever anyone says is right, and when owners said construction (owners never applied a zoning or buiding permit) was completed FCC rubber stamped the site. Owners, elated of having put one over, later applied to FCC to add 150 feet to the 'existing' 150-foot tower. FCC approved their request never realizing that the tower was already 300 feet. While I was analysing FCC files, citizens were up in arms and they had the city's I pointed out that the owners probably wanted to build another 300-foot tower. Citizens shouted, "What 2 towers!!; NEVER!!!" Sure enough that's what the owners intended. When I stood in front of the commissioners (most democratic process) the owners attorneys and engineers were silenced. Citizens marched into city hall in droves. They were like a sea on fire. Nothing would satisfy them until the owners were properly disciplined. The commissioners voted unanimously to reject the new tower, and revisit the old. FCC moved in to investigate interference complaints. Owners were so frazzled they sold the station in record time to a buyer outside the city limits. Why am I telling you this? To apprise you that you (citizens) cannot take on this fight alone. You MUST involve city officials. Even if they don't believe or listen keep pestering them. You pay taxes; you'll win. Enough pain has been borne by you citizens in the vicinity of a tower designed to inflate the ego of some persons. Complain to the zoning and building or land use commissioners, your congressional people (local and state). Do not try to go at this alone. You'll be like a reed blowing in the wind. Make noise to those that count. Get the media involved. Perhaps you've already done this, but keep it going. Meanwhile, I request your permission to put your e-mail in report form. I'll check again at FCC for additional files on this case that could be more informative. Charlie only gave me one file. With all that's happened there should be more (engineering, FAA, etc.). I'll create a presentation, attach your report for authenticity, and present it to Congress. That's who I deal with. Otherwise, I'd be spinning wheels. I dislike wasting time. If you have anything else meaningful, please send me at: Bert Dumpe' Ergotec Association Box 9571 Arlington, VA 22219 I'll do whatever I can to help your community. Please alert public officials. Even if they do nothing, at least you told them. Don't leave them alone.
