Hi everybody:

Looks like I'm going to have to change my reading habits....
Start reading the tabloids.....  Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that
they have space for an EMF story with all the "juicy" _intern-gate_
news out there!!!

 Roy, when the tabloids pick up on a story, you KNOW it is reaching main-
stream America!
 In the National Examiner dated March 17, 1998, on page 22, there is a one-
column story with the headline "New proof:  Cell phones linked to brain
cancer".  The first sentence reads "Startling new research in Australia
shows that if you talk on a mobile phone, you may be dialing DANGER because
the radio waves have been linked to brain cancer!"  The story goes on to
quote Dr. Andrew Davidson of Fremantle Hospital:  "The assumption is that
the rise is related to the use of analogue phones in the late 1980s".
 Roger Coghill and his effort to put warning labels on cellular phones is
also mentioned.
 Then mention is made of a heart-transplant surgeon in Texas, Dr. Dean
Rittman, who died of a brain tumor at age 41; his widow Ellen is suing
Motorola.  The final paragraph points out that hospitals have begun to ban
cellular phones because they interfere with so much electronic equipment!
 Even though there are a few minor errors in the story, I am delighted to
see it, because now lots of unsophisticated readers will be alerted to the
