.......A similar report appeared in a London tabloid some months back.
We posted it here ... and Dr. Preece sent us a denial of the accuracy
of the report..... Is this (below) a repeat of the same???

Subject: A tabloid has done it again!

The latest (March 30, 1999) issue of the National Examiner, a tabloid, has a
story on page 10 titled "Mobile phones cause memory loss". It reports the
findings of researchers at Bristol Royal Infirmary in the UK, who did testing
of brain function and memory on 36 volunteers, half of whom were exposed to
cellular phone radiation for 30 minutes before testing. There is a quote from
Dr. Alan Preece, and the article ends with Dr. Colin Blakemore asserting that
cellular phones have a damaging effect on "cognitive function, memory and
attention."
Editorial comment: It doesn't seem that we in the USA need expensive
taxpayer-supported federal agencies devoted to the public health to protect us
from microwave radiation! All we have to do is subscribe to the supermarket
tabloids; they will warn us of health hazards and tell us what we should do!
Maybe we should suggest to Congress that a good way to save money would be to
trim the workforce in those federal agencies that are supposed to be
protecting us from RF and MW radiation, since they obviously are NOT doing
their job! -- Marjorie
