Subject: Assistance Requested

We were recently approached by CenturyTel requesting the use of our land 
to place a tower on.  I am adamantly against it; however, my husband is
strongly considering it.  The land is approximately 1/2 mile from our
residence and farm (we are dairy farmers).  The tower will be placed on the
ridge of a hill; our farm in lower than this elevation.  We have had a
horrible time with stray voltage and ground currents in our barn and house
over the last several years.  It has affected my animals' health as well as
mine and my son's.  I simply don't want to take the risk of anything
happening as a result of the tower being built.  Two other adjoining
neighbors were also approached; both have signed the option and lease
agreement.  My husband feels that it is going up anyway so we may as well
get in, too.  I just figure I can do my part by saying no on our land and
going to the public hearing to voice my stance.  He needs concrete evidence
that the tower will affect US.  My gut feeling is that the phone company and
our "friendly" electric cooperative will work hand in hand as this project
develops...  Can you help?  Your timely response to this request will be
GREATLY appreciated.
