Subject: high power lines and schools

My daughter is supposed to attend a local grade school that was very nice and 
safe.  NOW they are putting up high power lines right next to the playground 
and all along the side of the school.  This is about 50 feet from the 
building and where all the classrooms are (on that side).  My sons have gone 
there and my only son left there is in sixth grade, which classroom is on the 
other side of the building.  But he would be exposed to close proximity of 
high power lines on the playground.  I believe the school should have 
notified us of this occurrence and that we should have had a chance to change 
the location of these power lines.  

Now I am faced with the decision of making a big stink about this situation 
so other parents will know their children will now be exposed to harmful 
EMF's or leave quietly and just dont take any of my children there. I need 
some medical studies I can download from the internet that I can show the 
principal and my friends if I am going to make a case.  But really it is too 
late now to do anything but inform those who will listen and leave.  

What can I do and how can the state put those in a schools backyard????

P.S.  When I mentioned to the women who work there that I was VERY upset 
about the high power lines they got red in the face and worried looking, then 
said WHY???
As if I was a complete idiot.  I think they are totally clueless as to what 
effects this can have on our children.
