Hi everybody:

The message below (in English and Spanish) forwards an interesting news
item from Spain. It reports on the government's plans, there, to "deny the
speculations that circulate in the street...." about the health effects of
EMF from cell phones and their antennas.....

That is what governments do - routinely - they deny (!!) ... rather than
publish the full facts which the public needs (and is entitled to), in
order to protect itself from health and other (environmental) safety
hazards. This typical governmental behavior - in the form of so-called
"white papers" that literally PROPAGANDIZE their own people while
withholding and distorting the truth - is the best way that I know of to
**create** and **feed** hysteria......!!!

It appears, from the report below, that is what the Spanish Government
is signaling that it intends to do.....

Of course, the public will eventually get the truth!!! And the public
will "turn on" that government that lied to them......

To the Government of Spain, guru says: Nothing could be worse (!!) in
terms of accomplishing your goal, i.e., "damping down" the hysteria
and so-called public "psychosis" about the EMF health risks, than for the
government to pursue such a "propaganda" policy.....

To the Government of Spain, guru says: Tell the public the full
truth!!!! Your failure to do so NOW will make it near to impossible to
(later) persuade the public that you are on "their" side. Dishonesty
today not only literally FEEDS mass public hysteria ... it also destroys
your future credibility..... When you will need it most.....

This EMF problem is not YET so bad that the public (or governments) are
justified in over-reacting, i.e., hysteria.... The main threats CAN BE
corrected: power lines, the cell phones themselves, and avoiding
concentrations of RF and MW antennas and transmitters near the public's
housing...... The first step toward making the necessary corrections is
ADMITTING THE TRUTH.... The worst of all possible scenarios is that we
(society) continue to postpone the day of reckoning - when the costs and
the necessary corrections will be much more difficult...... And, of
course, many more "bodies" will have fallen victim.....

A public that is fully informed can do much to help correct the
situation......!!! Give the public a chance.....

That does NOT seem to be the course Spain is choosing..... Of course
the U.S. Government has set a bad example by lying or obfuscating
about EMF bioeffects for some twenty years - so, perhaps the Spanish
Government considers that such a policy will work for them, too......

It won't!!! And, it is not working for the U.S., either.....!!!!

For BOTH - the governments of Spain and the U.S. - a day of reckoning
will come...... And the retribution will not only be in terms of
destroyed official credibility ... it will shake the very foundations of
the governmental system that has been responsible for the
dishonesty............

Cheerio......

Health ask to the technical personnel that rule if the mobile telephony
antennae prejudice to the health

VICTOR RODRIGUEZ - MURCIA (SPAIN)

The preoccupation by the possible injurious effects for the health of
the mobile telephony antennae is being converting in many cases in
psychosis. Before the continuous calls and neighbor letters alarmed by
the installation of wave repeaters, the Consejería of Health has taken
the initiative and intends to gather in a mixed commission expert in
electromagnetic fields, Telecommunication professors and technical of
Industry.

The objective is not other that to elaborate a document in the one which
is let clear if the telephony antennae prejudice to the health or they
are harmless. Sources of Health comment that the report will go intended
for to calm to the population exposed to the electromagnetic radiations.
The social alarm is acquiring disproportionate characteres.

The last rejection episode toward the mobile telephony antennae has taken
place in the delegation from Cartagena of Los Urrutias, where neighboring
several that possess housings and lands about a repeater have sold
their properties because fear by their health. This case and similar
others registered in various zones of the Region have made to reflect to
the Administration.

It is strange the day in which the Health Consejería does not receive a
citizens or associations letter interested in the effects from the
electromagnetic waves that issue the antennae.

The General health care Address is going to propose to university
teachers and to technical of Industry Consejería the creation of a mixed
commission whose purpose will be studied minutely the repercussions that
for the human being can have the mobile telephony antennae.
Until the moment does not exist an official report effected in Spain
that demonstrates that these facilities provoke diseases cancerígenas or
cerebral, as assures the Platform for Withdrawal of Telephony Antennae
Mobile. Nevertheless, this association has presented in the municipal
record of Cartagena 16 reports, so much of universities as of hospitals
of everybody, in those which is indicated that the electromagnetic waves
are prejudicial for the health.

The document that prepares the Health Consejería, that will collect only
premises contrasted among the members of the mixed commission, is going
directed to deny the speculations that circulate in the street, that
attribute to the antennae some malicious agents that are not adjusted to
the reality. The regional Government, basing in the advice of the World
Health organization (OMS), recommends the fences or barriers placement
about the wave repeaters in order to avoid the unauthorized access zones
where they can be exceeded the limits of established electromagnetic
frequency.
