Dear Friends,
I was "interested " to see Maria Stuchly's name associated with this
website.
In Spring, 1997, Maria was brought to Ireland, to a small rural town,
Dungarvan to tell the local people that there was no problem with microwave
transmitters /mobile phone masts.
She was brought to Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, by the County Manager, (local
Govt. official boss) as an "independent" expert.
In checking her background we found the following.
1. In the '80's Maria researched the safety of VDU's and found that
existing safety standards were sufficient. However the Swedes chose to
ignore her scientific opinion and brought in more stringent safety
guidelines for the use of VDU's, particularly when being used by pregnant
women.
2. Prior to coming to Ireland, Stuchly toured the USA, at the invitation
of NIST, USA and Australia, **courtesy of Telecom Austrlaia.** In both
countries at the times of her visits there was huge public unease about
microwave transmitters being sited near peoples' homes.
3. In Waterford. when addressing elected local councillors, Stuchly openly
admitted to presenting many of her scientific papers to NATO and also
admitted to visitng "the NATO Institue" many, many times.
One of the scientific papers she admitted to presenting to NATO in 1990,
"Measurements of Contact Currents in Radiofrequency Fields", illlustrates
how RF/EMF fields **could be used as an anti-personnel weapon** in combat
situations by inducing large static charges on large metal objects such as
personnel carries. This paper is published in Health Physics, Vol. 4,
April 1991.

This paper also made us aware of the potential fire risk from microwave
transmiters from spark discharges. See current ICINIRP guidelines.
Mobile phone manufacturers warn customers of the danger of using mobile
phones in petrol stations in literature accompanying handsets. In Spain it
is illegal to use mobile phones at petrol stations. Yet companies seem to
be unwilling to face up to the same danger from such microwave transmitters
on mobile phone masts!!!

Stuchly's scientific paper, an affidavit from Margaret Ahern, (see
fullcopy below), an explosion at grain silos at Blaye. France, in August
1997, (13 workers were killed when grain-dust exploded; it was believed that
the grain-dust was ignited by a spark from a build-up of static
electricity), pointed out for us a worst case scenario for our town.

In spite of Maria Stuchly's assurances, fire authourities were not willing
to allow microwave mobile phone transmitters be sited on top of a grain
silo, in the middle of Dungarvan town.

Microwave transmitters should NOT be sited in the vicinity of inflammable or
explosive substances.

Affidavit from Margaret Ahern, Aherla, Co. Cork.

In June 1995, Eircell erected a telecommunications mast adjoining my house.

In December 1995, cables and equipment were installed; soon afterwards I
could hear a hum from the vicinity of the mast. At about the same time,
when entering or exiting my car I experienced electric shocks when touching
metal parts of my car.

The shocks were mildly unpleasant and sent a tingle up my arm. They were
not quite as strong as the shocks fromelectric fencers.

During this time at night I saw a blue flash when the key touched the lock.
this happened on three occasions.
In June 1996, the humming from the vicinity of the mast stopped. I no
longer received electric shocks when touching the car. To this day the
problem has not recuured.

Sworn before me by the said
Margaret Ahern who is personally known to me
At Ballincollig in the County of Cork
this 7th day of August 1997,
Douglas Lucey,
Practising Solicitor.

.......I surely do hope that this message (and my earlier one about
the WIRC) gets WIDE circulation -- particularly among the EMF
**science** community..... Come on, PhDs -- send this one to every
one you know in this field......!!!! Please.....

Roy - here's some tidbits for a quiet Saturday afternoon.

The URL http://www.cwta.ca/ provides the following information - Canadian
Wireless 2000 in Ottawa at the end of May. The connection between the two
is: **the Administrative Contact for WIRC is at CWTA.CA (so much for
independence).**

[.....So, they are ONE AND THE SAME...!!!....Now we know how they claim to
have a "staff"........They've got the CWTA staff..... At the same time
that they "claim" independence.....!!!! That kind of dishonesty in
advertising would be severely punishable in a U.S. federal
court.....!!!!!....guru.....]

So let's call the WIRC for what it really is -- a shill for the
telecommunications industry. [.....!!!!!!......guru.....]

Have a great day -- and keep up the excellent work.
