Dear Roy,

There is another subtle link between asthma and EMF, again a result of the
calcium ion mobility interference.

Asthma can result from low carbon dioxide in the blood. When this happens
the respiration is very dependent on a fully functioning calcium ion
interchange at the cell membrane. When the workers are exposed to the EMF
that is enough to push the respiration rate below a critical limit and the
result might be an asthma attack caused by the calcium ion interchange
effect.

A 1998 Paper (Arch Microbiol 1998 Aug;170(2):69-77, "Energy conservation in
the decarboxylation of dicarboxylic acids by fermenting bacteria," Dimroth
P, Schink B) which I have not yet read has apparently linked the Carbon
dioxide levels with the ATP production. The New Scientist article of 18~21
May 1994 Inside Science details the links between Calcium ion and the energy
cycle.

The reason everyone does not get the attack is because of the persona Carbon
dioxide levels.

What we really need is for the authorities to accept that EMF is causing the
energy cycle interference and the only way that can happen is by it costing
them money as money is the begining end and middle of the present
governments decision process. Health is of no consequence unless you show it
is costing the state money, which of course it is.

Regards Donal O'Riordain.
