Roy,I have now moved to Sydney, but fortunately your emails still reach me here.
Our Auckland study showed a threefold increased risk for adult asthma in 50-Hz
magnetic fields above 5mG. This association was obtained after many known
possible confounders were controlled for statistically. In the light of
Henshaw's work at Bristol, I now think that the agent may well have been the
electric field rather than the magnetic field measured in our study, however the
two are highly correlated in houses where extremely-high-voltage powerline
