The _London Times_ has run an interesting series of short articles 
about the cell phone situation.  There are three or four more links
to follow after you follow the link provided by reporter Nigel Powell
below.....  Our Thanks to Nigel for forwarding this item -- and at
the risk of getting him into trouble with his editors -- for the
unusually balanced quality of his story.

For those of you who read the official U.K. government scientists
statements below, I ask you to note that _exactly such statements_ 
were issued routinely "in the beginning" of the public's journey 
"up the learning curve" about the hazards of lead, ozone in the 
atmosphere, mad cow disease, foot and mouth disease, tobacco, etc., 
etc., etc.  

That seems to be the knee-jerk reaction pattern of "official 
government" scientists.....!!  They NEVER learn.....!!!

Once they decide (if ever) that the public health and safety merits
a higher priority than the profit$$$$ of industry -- things may
change.......
