Beavers" <rbeavers@llion.org> To: emfguru@hotmail.com -------------------------------------------------- Hi everybody: I have recived a number of (mostly) favorable responses to this week's TGIF message. One (California) lady did ask to be removed from our list -- "too many messages," she said. They live a high powered existence in California.... (Guru lived there many years ago. "Pursued" an actress from the Pasedana Playhouse and "acted" in some shows in San Diego and Monterey....) Anyway, our thanks, again to Bonnie Mathis, who originated that message to me, though it was actually written by Julia Awalt whose name and phone number appear at the bottom of the message. Is it a true story??? Well ... someone might check with the folks at the Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown, Tennessee... I am forwarding only the following response from Marjorie.... Cheerio.... Roy Beavers (EMFguru) rbeavers@llion.org..............http://www.feb.se/EMF-L/EMF-L.html ................................It is better to light a single candle ... than to curse the darkness............................................... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 21 May 1998 20:49:55 -0700 (PDT) From: marjorie lundquistTo: "Roy L. Beavers" Subject: Re: TGIF...(Fetal response to sounds) The story below is a good reminder that the environment of a pregnant woman is, to a very large degree, also the environment of her unborn baby. The fetus is very aware of the sounds in its mother's environment--one reason that pregant women really ought not be working in noisy factories, where there are loud banging and clanging sounds, during their pregnancy. Maybe there should be no playing of discordant music during pregnancy, either? But soothing, melodious music can have a very good effect on the fetus, as this story shows. All of which has nothing to do with EMF, except for one possibility: when an electromagnetic wave interacts with a material medium, an acoustic wave may be generated in that medium. Very likely it won't be heard (for a number of reasons: wrong frequency, not loud enough) but it will be a pressure wave. (EMF weapons may exploit this.) These are just my idle musings, triggered by this touching tale of a special love song. -- Marjorie ======================================= ---"Roy L.
