Beavers"Subject: Re: (jg) (emf) (Maisch) Arthritis and EMF exposure (fwd) Hi, Roy -- The 'trail' to follow in investigating connection between EMF and Ankylosing Spondylitis might include 2 interim/related elements I can think of: -- recent studies with rats suggest Vitamin C can head-off some forms of arthritis. Increased Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) was observed in the treated rats. A few decades ago, I'm aware, some private pilots were supplementing SOD, specifically due to information that it was protective against radiation energies more prevalent at higher altitudes. -- there's been a finding that the microcritter known as Klebsiella is commonly found in AK folks; this is suggestive that a particular protein in Klebsiella is the real 'target' the immune system is trying to shoot down, and that very similar human tissues are getting caught in the 'friendly fire'. I was a 'switchman' for a large phone company some time back, working amongst old-style electromechanical central office equipment. Along with the rampant electromagnetic fields, some rather potent chemicals were part of the job -- trichlorethane was the de-greaser of choice for the bazillion electrical contacts that were there. I recall essentially passing out the first time I met that chemical, with also a wild, sharp indigestion at the same time. I suspect my liver was 'struck' by it promptly. I don't know whether such chemicals are still the tools of the trade in the modern era of computerized phone switching; worth pondering, though, if they are. (I'd bet there's still some amount of lead solder in use, too.) -- Jeff -- http://www.wellnow.com --------------------------------------------------------- Well Now Health Information Service Box 15524 Atlanta Georgia [30333] --------------------------------------------------------- "There's nothing left in the world to prove.
