The bit I saw on BBC (news via Primestar) was about two minutes ... and it was pure "filler" ... no "guts" in the story...... As Alasdair says below -- "WOW"!!!...... None of what he reports below was on the news report I saw..... NO DOUBT WHAT I SAW WAS INTENDED FOR US CONSUMPTION!!!! Would some of our US news people PLEASE pick up on the following (British) version...... (Still no coverage on ABC, CBS or NBC!!!!!) Roy Beavers (EMFguru)...... rbeavers@llion.org....... .....It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness..... Beavers" Subject: Re: Local Media (fwd) Roy We have been having extensive tabloid press scare story headlines over here in the UK. I don't know what BBC piece you saw but is obviously wasn't last week's Panorama programme which was 40 minutes of highly disturbing research showing up the dishonesty of the industry very clearly. It started with about 5 mins interview (etc) with Steve Corney, the ex British Telecom engineer who was trying to get a personal injury case going - which was reported on EMF-L a couple of months ago. It then went on to interview Ross Adey, Henry Lai and Louis Slesin who were very good indeed, and "our Norm" (Sandler) from Motorola (and the 'war-gaming' memo) who was very shifty and unbelievable and a guy from Ericsson who seemed niaive but more credible. It also carried a number of extracts from an interview with George Carlo who continued his "I've changed sides" attitude and was really very good for our cause! (see below) It also went to Sweden and interviewed Lennart Hardell about his tumour study and he was saying that it is unwise to use mobiles much at all and it was irresponsible to allow children to use them. It had lots more as well but I can't remember just now. However I have written down the closing Carlo quotes: (magic!) George Carlo (WTR): .."We have evidence of possible genetic damage in experiments using .. human blood. We have evidence of a possible increase in tumour .. risk. The science that we have today clearly shows that this is .. not black and white, that we have moved now into a grey area that .. suggests that there could be a problem that needs to be looked at .. very, very carefully." Presenter: ## "The industry say there is no problem. Is that right?" Carlo: .. "At this stage that is not a responsible position to take. We .. clearly have results here that suggest there could be more .. here than meets the eye." For whatever reason (funding, covering his back, etc), WOW! Thanks!
