Subject: Coming! A rerun of the ABC 20/20 program (Curry) Date: Sat, 20 May 2000 051652 -0500 (CDT) From: "Roy L. Beavers"To: emfguru -------------------------------------------------- ........Thanks to Bill Curry for this.....!! Many of you will remember that program (also reported on guru's website in "current messages").... It (at the time) did a pretty good expose job -- but it also missed the mark on some of the important details..... My question is, Bill, is this rerun a consequence of **pressure** from the telecom industry......??? To **change** some of the original reporting??? Or -- is it a genuine "update" of the events which have transpired since, particularly the work of the Stewart Group in the U.K......?? Let us keep our eye on this schedule -- and get it published here to everyone......!! Cheerio..... Curry" To: "Roy L. Beavers" Subject: 20/20 program Roy, In an EMR Network conference call, I learned recently that the ABC News program 20/20 (that featured an expose of cell telephones and interviews with Dr. George Carlo, Dr. Ross Adey, and others) is about to be rerun - complete with updates. The tentative broadcast date is May 26, 2000. I think that ABC and the producers of 20/20 should be commended for keeping this issue before a public that would, mostly, prefer to ignore the hazards. Now, we need to interest journalists in the wireless LAN's in school controversy. Any suggestions? -- ---- Bill P. Curry, Ph.D. |Physics is fun.
