Hi Robert:

The EMF debate just seems to go on and on!!!!!

I have a document written by France Labreche,PhD, Epidemiologist
Montreal Public Health Department and Joint Departments of Epidemiology
and Biostatistics, and Occupational Health, McGill University, Montreal,
Canada.

France Labreche was working on a draft report "Evaluation of
associations between breast cancer and workplace exposures" for the
Occupational Disease Panel. The findings of the Occupational Disease
Panel were used to help determine whether injury & disease claimes should
be covered by Worker's Compensation. Unfortunately, the Occ. Disease
Panel was shut down due to cutbacks by the Mike Harris Government.

France, however, did continue to finish her review of which I have a
copy.

I also went to Toronto to see her make her presentation a couple of
years ago and one thing that struck me was her overhead chart which showed
the progression of both breast cancer and benign pituitary brain tumors.

Why I was so interested in this part of her talk was because, besides the
women who were diagnosed with breast cancer at Bell Canada, there were
three brain tumors. I had read that brain tumors were markers for EMF
exposure. Bell Canada refused to acknowledge the concerns of a man
who worked with us because his brain tumor was benign. My gut kept
telling me that somehow his cancer was connected to our case. His
tumor was on the pituitary gland and his doctor wrote a note to Bell
saying he should not be exposed to EMFs in the workplace. When France
showed her overhead, it became clear to me that I was right. Although
I don't have a copy of her overhead, I did find almost the exact chart in
another study.

If you have a fax #, I would be happy to send this information to you
along with the chart.

If you don't have a fax, I could mail you a copy if you send me your
snail mail address.

Tommy must be very frusterated with this situation. I know how he
feels! It was over four years ago that I filed for Worker's
Compensation and I still don't have a ruling. The other two women who
filed with me are both deceased now. I too hope I live long enough to
see the end result of our efforts.

Lorna
