Subject: On board computer (Sanderson).. Date: Fri, 26 May 2000 050240 -0500 (CDT) From: "Roy L. Beavers"To: emfguru -------------------------------------------------- Hi everybody: I really can not answer questions like the following. There has been no public record of any research, and "speculation" -- it seems to me -- is not appropriate in such cases..... That does not mean that it is a frivolous question. It means that we (our society) must begin to **record, measure and analyze** how much electromagnetic radiation we are surrounding ourselves with ... before we have created a world of such intense "blueness" that the health effects become indistinguishable from their causes..... For my part, I have already concluded that the "steel belted radial tire effect" (which has been discussed on this list) is probably much more serious than the very small energy levels added by such as these on-board computers. The computers after all are operating on 12 volts, are they not....?? The magnetic field that a trucker or traveling salesman experiences, however, from thousands of hours "on the road" in that environment (possibly impacting the prostate??), should become -- in my view -- a much higher priority target of investigation. The point, here, is that: we are surrounding ourselves with so much MORE EMF/EMR electromagnetic "Blue World" radiation THAN WE -- EVEN -- SUSPECT ... that we are creating a world where such "blue" effects may become indistinguishable (unidentifiable) because of the high background levels of exposure..... We should be recognizing that possibility NOW ... and studying it seriously......!!! Cheerio..... My question to you is could "on board computers" (that send and receive information via satellite) that would be in an automobile or a truck cab cause ill health effects? I have heard some strange stories. Is it possible that ones hearing could be effected in some way? Possibly a distortion of sorts? I will be looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
