Sufferers of MS must avoid even the smallest amounts of gluten, which comes from wheat, rye, oats and barley. Even such minute amounts of gluten as they are being found in pills where flour, containing gluten, had been used as a binding material can have disasterous effects on the patient. For more information, please read "Can a gluten-free diet help? How?" by Lloyd Rosenvold, M.D. Keats Publishing, Inc. 27 Pine Street (Box 876) New Canaan, Connecticut 06840-0876 USA A friend of mine had severe MS and after cutting out gluten from his diet (mainly bread and beer) recovered so well that he can now do bycicle racing again. Kind regards to all, especially to the MS sufferers, Roland Prukl.
