He has obtained a computer soft-ware program that does some of the ground current calculations..... He told me of thissome weeks ago, but i have not been able to get back to him..... I hope that our techies will check this out!!!! I really think he is on to something useful..... Dahlberg" , "Roy L. Beavers" Subject: Earth currents Dear Prof. Dahlberg, . Many many thanks to you for pointing out, "**the important issue is the adverse effects from the use of earth as a carrier of electricity that should be in wires.**." The predominant source of EMF exposure to our population of people (of which Roy says they are more important than profits) stems from the ubiquitous grounding of neutrals in the WYE distribution system. Here is a readout from EMFCALC which demonstrates how this works. The calculated X/Y spot is set to 60 feet from centerpole and 5.5 feet above the surface. The underground neutral is set to minus 40 feet. There is a current imbalance in the distribution lines of 35, 20 and 15 amperes. The program calculates the net current and splits it between the underground neutral (could be the sheath of a telephone line) and the pole neutral. The phase of the neutral is also calculated and is quite apart from the phase of A, B and C on the transmission and distribution lines. Most of the 2.94 mG at the X/Y spot comes from the underground neutral! The program is an enhancement of something which Alasdair Philips sent over a couple of months ago. Please let me know if you would like EMFCALC emailed to you. It will run from DOS or inside Windows. Again, thanks for stressing the most important source of EMF exposure in our country.
